Abstract

Blockchain technology holds significant promise for transforming Spply Chain Management (SCM) by enhancing transparency, traceability, and efficiency. However, its widespread adoption is hindered by scalability challenges, particularly in high-volume transaction environments typical of modern supply chains. This research investigates the development of scalable blockchain solutions tailored for SCM, addressing these challenges through a mixed-methods approach. A comprehensive literature review, case studies of industry implementations, and a systematic methodology encompassing system design, simulation, testing, and evaluation were conducted. Key findings include insights into scalability issues of traditional blockchains, innovative solutions such as Layer 2 scaling and sharding, and practical implications for enhancing SCM operations. The research underscores the transformative potential of blockchain in SCM while providing actionable insights for industry stakeholders and policymakers.
